TEF CAR RAFFLE
Great news... you could win a car! The Torrance Education Foundation has started their spring fundraiser by selling tickets for your chance to win a hybrid Lexus. Tickets can be purchased in the school office for $30 each. Twenty dollars from the purchase of each ticket will be donated to Edison PTA for our school programs. Here we are, back the at the beginning! And yes, Edison PTA needs YOU! Adventures in Art uses volunteers, Family Fun Night uses volunteers, and the school library uses volunteers. We also need people to take photos for yearbook, to help with Multicultural Week and to volunteer in the classrooms. If you have any spare time (day or night, some jobs only take a little bit of time!) or energy, please consider volunteering at school. It makes a huge impact on your kid, and the others as well. If you want to volunteer please contact Sofia Pasta at edisonhelpers@gmail.com.
GRADE LEVEL CONTENT STANDARDS
At this link you will find information for all grade levels k-5 content standards, also known as "what your student should know in this grade." You can locate this on the TUSD website here: CONTENT STANDARDS then, look under Schools and double click on Elementary Schools. Scroll down to “California Content Standards Pamphlets” and click on the grade level you want. By making this information accessible here on the internet it is one more way Edison is trying to conserve resources and "go green."

Take it in to your local Ralph's and have them scan it, then you will be donating to Edison. Anyone anywhere can do this, so let your family know in other parts of the country, this is good for any store that sells the Kroger brands... ALSO: You can use your Ralphs club card at Food For Less!!! Get the points and get the $$ for Edison... You will know if you are donating to Edison because is it will say so at the bottom of your receipt, be sure to verify!
