Volunteers
are needed for
Adventures in Art !
No
art experience is required,
just a love
of art and willingness to share it with kids!
Docent: You need
to attend the Premiere and 5
workshops. At each workshop you will be
taught a fun art project by an artist selected by Torrance Adventures
in
Art. The workshops will be attended by
all docent volunteers from your school and from all Torrance schools involved in the
program. After receiving training, the
docent then returns to the school and shares this project in their
classroom
(before the next scheduled workshop date).
Assistant:
Does not attend workshops or lead class. The
docent assistant helps with set up and
clean up during scheduled classroom time under the docent’s direction.

Workshops
are held on Thursdays (accommodations can be made
for attendance on Wed.) in the Ken Miller Auditorium at the Torrance Cultural Arts
Center
(Madrona & Torrance Blvd) from 9:00am to 11:30am. Premiere
and Brunch will be held at the Torino Plaza
in the Torrance
Cultural Arts Center.
